Book launch and City Hall tour

This morning, a group of children from Year 5 and Year 6 visited City Hall in Bradford for the launch of ‘Cones and Transforming Bradford’ – a story all about the redevelopment and regeneration of Bradford city centre. The author read the story to them, then led a discussion about the teams involved in improving the city centre. Through the story and the discussion, the children learned how planners, builders and designers worked together to make the area more pedestrian friendly, attractive and safe.

After the book launch, the children were given a guided tour of City Hall. They moved through different rooms and corridors, including the old courthouse, whilst hearing all about their purpose and the interesting facts about each one.
